Part 7

Everyone entered the building and walked down a long dark hall. "According to the readings, the signals are coming from the end of the hall," said Professor Brown.

"Let's just hope we can stop Moriarty before he uses the P.D.M. again," said Watson.

"You are too late for that!" They whipped around and saw Fenwick and some other men holding ionizers on them. "Nobody move!" Fenwick ordered. "The Master does not want any visitors now."

"Who is this guy?" asked Gohan.

"That's Fenwick, one of Moriarty's lackeys," Lestrade answered.

"Who are you calling 'lackey'?" Fenwick snapped. "If you want to stay alive, then keep your mouths shut! I'll not let you ruin the Master's plan."

"And what plans might those be?" asked Holmes.

Fenwick gave them a wicked smile. "He's going to use the P.D.M. again."

"No, he can't!" cried Professor Brown. "You can't use the P.D.M. twice in one day. It would overload the circuits and explode!"

"Well, the Master doesn't care!"

"But I do!" said Goku. "And I am going to stop you!"

"Ha! I would like to see you try." As Fenwick finished his sentence, Goku suddenly vanished. "Huh? Where did he go?" said a dumbfounded Fenwick. He felt a tap on his shoulder.

Fenwick turned his head and was greeted by a punch from Goku. Goku quickly and easily took out the other men with a few kicks and punches. Lestrade and Watson grabbed their ionizers and tied them up.

"That was very good work, Mr. Goku," said Holmes. "But I am curious how you were able to disappear like that."

"I didn't disappear; I just moved really fast so they couldn't see me."

"But that's impossible!" cried Professor Brown. "There is no way a human can move that fast."

"That's because I am not a human. I am a Saiyan."

"A what?" asked Wiggins.

"How about you explain after we get Moriarty," said Lestrade.

"Quite right, Lestrade," said Holmes. They all ran down the hallway until they stopped at another locked door.

"Will you do the honors, Mr. Goku?" asked Holmes. Goku nodded and opened the door with one punch. There, standing in the middle of the room, was Moriarty.

"Well, hello, Holmes," said Moriarty as he greeted them with a sinister grin. "I was wondering when you were going to get here."

Holmes took a step forward. "Your plan has failed, Moriarty."

"Ah, but you are wrong, Holmes. For I am about to win!" said Moriarty, as he was about to start the machine.

"No, don't!" cried the Professor, but it was too late. The P.D.M. started to shake violently and a small portal began to open. Moriarty leaned in to see what was beyond the portal and was suddenly greeted by a large green fist which sent him flying backwards.

"Didn't anyone ever tell you it was impolite to peek?" said the figure as he entered the portal.

Goku and Gohan's eyes widened as they recognized the figure. "PICCOLO!" they both yelled in unison.

"You know that gentleman?" asked Watson.

"Ah, yeah, he's a friend of ours," Gohan answered.

There was suddenly a huge rumbling sound as the P.D.M. started to shake even more. "It's going to explode!" shouted Professor Brown. "We have to get out of here!"

"But there isn't enough time!" Lestrade pointed out.

"Oh, yes, there is," said Goku. He put two fingers on his forehead and everyone suddenly vanished from the the room and reappeared outside the building just as it exploded.

"Uh...what just happened?" asked Deidre.

"Dad just used instant transmission. It's a technique he can use to go from one place to another instantly."

"Now, if you are done answering that, Gohan," said Piccolo, "Would you please tell me who are these people and what the hell is going on?!"

An hour later, Lestrade called New Scotland Yard to arrest Fenwick and the rest of his gang. No one knew where Moriarty went. Goku suggested that he might have died in the explosion but Holmes did not think it was very likely.

Gohan went over to Piccolo to ask him a question. "Hey, Piccolo, why did you punch Moriarty?"

The Namek sighed. "I was in the middle of meditating when I felt this sudden wave of energy behind me. I didn't know what it was, so as a reflex I punched him."

"Are you saying it was an accident?" asked Wiggins.

Holmes glanced over to Piccolo. "Tell me, exactly what are you? You are obviously not a human.

"Actually, I am a Namek, an alien from another planet. Got a problem with that?"

"No, just curious."

"It's too bad your machine got destroyed, Professor," said Wiggins.

"Actually, I think the P.D.M. is better off destroyed. This way, it won't fall into the wrong hands again."

"That's fine for you," said Piccolo. "But how are we supposed to get home?"

"I'm sure we can think of something."

"Hey, I got an idea," declared Goku. "Maybe someone from our dimension will come and rescue us."

Piccolo raised an eyebrow at the warrior. "Goku, do you realize what the chances of that happening are?"

Goku was about to reply when a woman's voice answered, "I think the chances of that happening are pretty good."

Everyone turned around and saw a woman with bright blue hair. "Bulma?!" exclaimed Gohan.

"Let me guess -- another friend of yours?" said Lestrade. Gohan nodded.

"Bulma, what are you doing here?" asked Goku.

"When Vegeta told me what happened, I figured the best chance of you coming home was for us to find you. Lucky for you, Dad has been working on this little baby." She held up a small remote. "This gadget lets people travel to different dimensions. And let me tell you, it was not easy for Vegeta and I to track you down."

"Vegeta?!! You mean he's here, too?"

"I am over here, Kakarotto," yelled Vegeta as he emerged from a nearby corner. "And don't get the wrong idea. I am only here because Bulma forced me to come."

"Aw, cool it, Vegeta," said Bulma. "You were worried, just like the rest of us."

"I was not! I was only worried that Kakarotto and I wouldn't be able to finish our fight."

"Watch it, Vegeta, or you'll be sleeping on the couch tonight!"

Deidre whispered in Gohan's ear, "I thought your dad's name was Goku."

"It is."

"Then why is that guy calling him 'Kakarotto'?"

Gohan sighed. "It is kind of a long story."

Goku turned to face Holmes. "With Bulma here, I guess this means we are going home. It was nice meeting you, Mr. Holmes."

"And it was very interesting meeting you, Mr. Goku," Holmes said as he shook Goku's hand.

Bulma set the coordinates on the remote. "Okay, guys. I don't know about you, but I am ready to go home." As she finished, a small portal opened. Bulma and the Z Warriors stepped through it.

"Bye, guys!" Gohan called out as the portal closed. "It was nice meeting you!"

"Well, I believe that solves our problems for one night."

"Not quite, Watson," said Lestrade. "I still have a problem."

"And what would that be, Lestrade?" asked Holmes.

"How am I going to explain all of this to Grayson?!"
