Fates Intertwined

Part 2

by Alicia

Lestrade was feeling quite pleased with herself. If she were a cat, she’d be purring. As it was she curled up on the couch of 221b Baker Street, cuddling a cup of tea. How she managed to do this without spilling it was anyone’s guess.

The sole resident of the Baker Street apartment present looked at her over the rim of his teacup with only partially hidden envy. Life had not been nearly so kind to Holmes today. "Lestrade, will you please stop humming? You’re not helping my headache."

"Holmes, old bean, stop complaining."

"Mmm." Lestrade took a leisurely sip of tea. "I’ve been reading Agatha Christie lately."

Holmes raised an eyebrow, waiting for an explanation.

Lestrade ignored him.

"Well, if you’re not going to explain, at least stop humming ."

"Mmm," Lestrade replied. She got way too much satisfaction out of bothering Holmes, but she really didn’t care.

Rubbing his temples, the mistreated detective started to get up. This action was impeded by a large black vortex opening and dropping three people onto his lap.

The armchair tipped backwards, sending two battered Hogwarts students, a furious Hogwarts Professor and a wincing Holmes rolling onto the floor.

From across the room Lestrade could be heard spraying tea all over the carpet in her surprise.

I happened to run across this again and decided it needed at least one more part. After all, even our other "new" R/R has three parts....

On to part 3!
